Unusual Caller ID
Legitimate calls are most likely to display an official phone number or a known identifier. If it doesn't, be very cautious.
Threats or Scare Tactics
Scammers rely on a sense of urgency. They count on getting you to act before you think, usually by including a threat. If the caller pressures you into immediate action or threatens negative consequences, just hang up.
Asking for Personal Information
Never share sensitive information like your passwords, PIN, account numbers during a phone call. Never share confidential information unless you've called a business such as your bank and you are asked to confirm information for security purposes.
Unexpected Calls
Always be cautious of random calls. Stay safe by ending unexpected calls.
